Application for Social Security Number
You
can apply for the SSN soon after (even on the 2nd working day) after entering the US.
If you have a designated destination services representative, ask to secure appointment with the office well
in advance. In most offices, you can walk-in too.

Form: https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ss-5.pdf (You can use the Form in
the Social Security Office; this is just for reference, so you know what
details need to be filled).
Provide Office Address for

Note: To save you a trip to the Social Security Office you can now apply for your SSN and card (SSN card) on the same application form (EAD or something similar) you will use to apply for permission to work legally in the United States (U.S.). However, there will be delay in receiving the SSN card with this approach as you would receive the card after 7 business days of receiving the EAD. Refer to below link for more details.
